Negative Declaration

Queens County (Queens) - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New Primary School Q341 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The action involves a proposal by the New York City School Construction Authority on behalf of the New York City Department of Education to construct an approximately 572 seat primary school. The project is located on 54th Ave between Center Boulevard and 2nd Street in Queens, New York.

The action involves a proposal by the New York City School Construction Authority on behalf of the New York City Department of Education to construct an approximately 612-seat primary school. The project is located on Second Street between 56th Avenue and 57th Avenue in Queens, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

New York County (Manhattan) - The New York City Housing Preservation and Development (NYC HPD), as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed West 108th Street West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing Development. Copies of the Final EIS may be obtained from the contact person listed below or from the New York City Mayor's Office of Sustainability, 253 Broadway, 7th floor, New York, NY 10038. The Final EIS can also be viewed online at NYC HPD's environmental review webpage: http://www1.nyc.gov/site/hpd/developers/environmental-review.page.

The proposal involves an application by NYC HPD and the project sponsor, the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing (WSFSSH), for approval of several discretionary actions subject to New York City Planning Commission approval (Proposed Actions) to facilitate the construction of two new buildings consisting of affordable and supportive housing and community facility uses on West 108th Street in the Manhattan Valley neighborhood of Manhattan, Community District 7. The Proposed Actions would result in the construction of approximately 281 units of affordable housing (including supportive housing), an approximately 31,000 gross square foot transitional housing facility for older adults with approximately 110 shelter beds, and an additional approximately 6,400 gross square foot of other community facility uses. This proposed development would consist of two buildings: the Western Development with approximately 193,000 gross square foot of floor area (maximum height of 11 stories), and the Eastern Development, with approximately 45,000 gross square foot of floor area (maximum height of 11 stories). The Western Development is expected to be completed and fully operational by the end of 2020. The Eastern Development is expected to be completed and fully occupied by the end of 2025.

The project is located on the north side of West 108th Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues in Manhattan, New York.
