Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Board of Trustees of the Village of Amityville, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the Proposed TO (Transit Oriented) District and GreenTek Living, LLC Transit Oriented Development. A public hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on April 9, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 21 Ireland Place, Amityville, NY 11701. Written comments on the Draft Generic EIS will be accepted until April 19, 2018. The action involves an application by Greentek Living, LLC and R & S Realty Corp. for an amendment to Chapter 183 (Zoning) of the Code of the Village of Amityville to establish a Transit Oriented (TO) zoning district as a floating zone within the area bounded by Sterling Place on the north, West Oak Street on the south, Broadway on the east, and County Line Road on the west; and for associated amendments to the Village Code including §183.3 (Establishment of Districts), § 183.1 (Definitions and Word Usage) and §144 (Signs); and also includes an amendment of the Village Building Zone Map for one site (two lots) into such district (235 County Line Road, 124 Greene Avenue; respectively), as well as a request for approval of certain incentives and bonuses pursuant to the TO district, and site plan approval.
