Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Village of Sag Harbor Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sag Harbor Cinema Site Plan (90 Main Street) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

This action involves the reconstruction of the Sag Harbor Cinema, located on a 7,129 square foot lot in the Village of Sag Harbor Village Business (VB) District, which was partially destroyed during a fire in December of 2016. Following the fire, the theater's facade and lobby were demolished. The applicant is proposing to rebuild the theater, construct a second story addition over the lobby and add a third floor. Prior to the fire, the gross floor area of the existing theater was 7,868.4 square feet and the proposed construction would result in a gross floor area of 9,406.9 square feet (an increase of 1,538.5 square feet). The Site Plan indicates that the area of the first floor will remain the same, the second floor will increase by 300.5 square feet, and proposed third floor is 1,238 square feet.

The project is located at 90 Main Street in the Village of Sag Harbor, New York.
