The applicant proposes to rehabilitate Ontario County Road 33 (Co Rd 33) for a distance of 1.62 miles along Mill Creek. The project starts 600 feet northwest of the intersection of Co Rd 33 and Egypt Rd and extends south along Co Rd 33 to the intersection of Co Rd 33 and Lower Egypt Rd. The rehabilitation will include approximately 800 feet of total reconstruction of the roadway, the replacement of two steel sheet retaining walls, the replacement of three cross culverts, the replacement of two large stone reinforcement walls, and the placement of stone fill, grouted and non-grouted rip-rap.

The applicant is proposing to add a 2.25-acre area to the Life-of-Mine (LOM) for stockpiling aggregate material. The proposed stockpile area is located along the eastern LOM limit and will be added to the currently permitted 674.3-acre LOM. There will be no permanent alteration of the existing topography within the area affected by the stockpile. At the completion of mining, all stockpile material will be removed for reclamation and the area will be scarified and reseeded with the planting mix already specified in other mine areas. According to the application, there are no proposed changes to the current day-to-day operations, hours of operation, or truck traffic at the currently permitted mine.
