Project Description:
The applicant proposes the installation of approximately 22,000 feet of 8-inch watermain and associated apprentices along portions of East Bethany Leroy Road, Clipnock Road, Little Canada Road, and Torrey Road. A 2,500 linear foot portion of the watermain is located within 100-foot adjacent areas of State Freshwater Wetlands ST-19, ST-25, ST-26 and ST-27, requiring an Article 24 Freshwater Wetlands permit. Impacts will be temporary, all areas of disturbance are along the roadway and sediment controls will be used to minimize potential impacts to the Freshwater Wetland. Four class C streams will also be crossed by open trenching and directional drilling. Once the water main is installed, the area will be backfilled and restored to existing conditions.
