Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Springs Union Free School District Board of Education, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed the Springs School Proposed Bond Referendum will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The proposed action includes a 24,000 square foot f building addition, interior reconstruction and renovation of an additional 17,000 square foot of existing space, renovating existing detached portables, removing and replacing the sanitary septic system with a new Low-Nitrogen Sanitary System, renovate existing parking lot and install new parking spaces and new access roadways and drop-off loops, demolish existing and building new Grounds Maintenance Garage, construct new Bus Building, relocate outdoor basketball court and handball court, expand sports/play fields and create new baseball field. The project further includes associated site work and site upgrades, requires the clearing of approximately 3.5 acres of forested/vegetative land and a total of approximately 7.5 acres of ground disturbance. The project is located at Springs School, 48 School Street in the Town of East Hampton, New York.
