Negative Declaration

Lewis County: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Ducks Unlimited Highway 26 Wetland Mitigation Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.

The purpose of the project is to re-establish, rehabilitate, and preserve wetlands as mitigation for permitted impacts to wetland habitats within the Black River Service Area of the Ducks Unlimited New York In-Lieu Fee Program. The proposed action will occur on 54.0 acres of agricultural fields within an 82.26-acre parcel and result in the re-establishment and rehabilitation of 20.21 acres of wetland. The project is located at NYS Route 26 and Croniezer Road in the Town of West Turin, New York.
