Notice of Enrollment Period - New York Green Business

Applications for the New York Green Business program will be accepted through Friday, December 15th, 2017. Application materials and submission information can be found at www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/939.html.

The New York Green Business program provides recognition and incentives to businesses and other entities in New York State that are committed to sustainable practices and conserving New York's environment and natural resources. In order to participate in the program applicants must have a good record of compliance, make commitments to lower their environmental footprint, and communicate their sustainability commitment to their customers and employees.

While the program is open to any business, or other organization, in New York State that meets the entry criteria, it has special entry criteria for breweries, garments cleaners, and restaurants to address their unique environmental impacts.

Winter 2017 Invasive Species Advisory Committee Meeting

The NYS Invasive Species Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Department of Agriculture and Markets central office (10B Airline Drive, Colonie). Final FFY 2018 Intended Use Plans (IUPs)

The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC),the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Department of Health (DOH) have prepared the Final Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2018 Intended Use Plan (IUP) for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The IUPs include lists of projects that may receive financial assistance between October 1, 2017 and September 30, 2018.

EFC is seeking comments from the public regarding projects that were added to the Annual Project Priority List of the Final 2018 CWSRF IUP after publication of the Draft IUP. This request includes review of these projects for compliance with the New York State Smart Growth Public Infrastructure Policy Act. The list of new projects is available on EFC's website at www.efc.ny.gov/CWIUP. Comments must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017.
