Project Description:

The applicant proposed to permanently place an approximately 4,800 barge off the shore of Hudson River in an area tidal wetlands mapped as littoral zone. The barge will be anchored by piles and accessed from shore by a 62-foot long, 4-foot wide gangway. The perimeter is approximately 11,592 square feet, which includes periodic mooring of up to 4,320 square foot boats at the barge. The underwater lands are owned by the City of Yonkers.

Project Description:

The project sponsor proposes to re-develop a blighted multi-family development located at the intersection of Route 6 (East Main Street) and Regina Avenue in the Town of Cortlandt. The proposed re-development of the site will create 56 new, multi-family, attached-housing units. The proposed construction of the new units will occur within the same footprint as the existing development with the exception of a new access road, which will also contain the sanitary sewer line, that will be constructed to connect the project to the nearby Cortlandt Town Center exit driveway.

Project activities will disturb approximately 0.083 acres (3,746 sq. ft.) of NYS Freshwater Wetland A-9 (Class I) and 1.66 acres (72,293 sq. ft.) of its regulated 100-foot adjacent area, in order to install the access road, sewer line connection, lawn areas, and portions of stormwater treatment structures (i.e. detention ponds).
