Notice of Acceptance of Draft SEIS

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Canoe Place Inn, Canal and Eastern Properties Maritime Planned Development District (CPICEMPDD). The Draft SEIS is available from the Town of Southampton Town Clerk's Office 116 Hampton Road, Southampton NY 11968 and on line at: http://www.southamptontownny.gov (under change of zone applications).

The Town of Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed CPI, Canal, Eastern Maritime Planned Development District (CPICEMPDD) and has commenced a 30 day written comment period to expire on November 3, 2017.

The Draft SEIS is available from the Town of Southampton's Town Clerk's Office and on line at: http://www.southamptontownny.gov (under change of zone applications).

Pursuant to a decision from the Honorable Mark D. Cohen, New York State Supreme Court Justice, which followed the commencement of an Article 78 Proceeding challenging the Southampton Town Board's Approval of the CPICEMPDD, the Town of Southampton Town Board is undertaking to supplement the Environmental Impact Statement associated with the subject development in order to take a "hard look" at water supply and fire flow issues.

The project is located at 239 and 235 East Montauk Highway; 243 Montauk Highway; 1 and 5 North Highway; 5 Old Canoe Place Road in Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed s-Power Calverton Solar Energy Facility. The Final EIS is available from the Town of Riverhead Public Library; the Town of Riverhead Town Clerk's Office; the Town of Riverhead's Planning Department and on line at: http://www.townofriverheadny.gov.

The action involves the subdivision of land, site plan, special permit, and requested easements within public and private real property for the development of a solar power-generating facility, including a 20 megawatt alternating current (MWAC) solar photovoltaic (PV) panel array facility and 8,670 ± linear foot underground transmission generation tie-in (gen-tie) line within a 15 ± foot wide easement connecting the solar panel array facility to a proposed solar collection facility.

The applicant seeks approval for a three (3) lot subdivision to accommodate construction of a 20 megawatt solar voltaic energy facility located on the west side of Peconic Avenue and south of Middle Country Road in Calverton, Town of Riverhead, New York. The subject site is comprised of approximately 125 acres. The dominant land use is currently agriculture (sod production), with additional uses identified as warehouse, industrial equipment and one (1) single family residential dwelling. The subject site is located in the Industrial C (IC) zoning use district. The proposed subdivision of land will results in three (3) parcels identified by the applicant as parcel A - 109 ± acres; Lot B - 5.8 ± acres and Lot C - 2.35 ± acres. The proposed Lot A is currently in sod farming and soil amendment production, proposed Lot B is currently where the warehouse and industrial equipment are located and proposed Lot C includes the existing residential dwelling.
