Project Description:

Applicant proposes to reconstruct a developed shoreline and create a linear bulkhead by excavating 120 cubic yards of material in a 648 square foot section landward of the current bulkhead and depositing the material on-site as fill landward of the new bulkhead. The fill is proposed in an area seaward of mean high water and will result in the filling of 600 square feet of tidal wetlands known as littoral zone (LZ). Construction of an 8' x 50' floating dock is also proposed. The purpose of the project is shoreline stabilization, flood protection and mooring. The project is located at Hampton Road, Oceanside, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, NCTM# 43-400-510, 515 & 711.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct a new facility to process recognizable uncontaminated, concrete, asphalt, rock, brick, and soil (RUCARBS). An average of 400 cu. yds. (maximum 750 cu. yds) of RUCARBS is proposed to be received per day. RUCARBS are proposed to arrive at the facility in containers transported by trucks, and to then be unloaded into the raw material storage area. The brick, asphalt, concrete, rock, and soil is then proposed to be crushed in the concrete crusher and stockpiled in the crushed/finished material storage area for recycling. The proposed project is located at 1 Rason Road in Inwood in Nassau County, NCTM# 40-A-1191.
