NYS DOT has completed a Draft EIS for the management of transportation corridors in the Adirondack Park. The document, a Generic Travel Corridor Unit Management Plan (TCUMP), Volume I, looks broadly at travel corridors within the Adirondack Park, identifies common transportation management problems, and offers solutions that are consistent with the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan.

The Adirondack Park contains 28 state highway "travel corridors"; individual travel corridor unit management plans will be completed as Volume II. The Generic TCUMP addresses issues that are universal to all Adirondack Park travel corridors and provides an outline for individual travel corridor plans. It will serve as a planning guide for state highway travel corridors in the Adirondack Park pending the development of individual travel corridor unit management plans.

The project is located throughout the Adirondack Park of New York State.
