Fact Sheet

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application and Draft Remedial Investigation Work Plan from JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association for a site known as the RPC - Core Area, site ID #C344080. This site is located in the Town of Orangetown, within the County of Rockland, and is located at 140 Old Orangeburg Road. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than July 7, 2017. A copy of the application, Draft Remedial Investigation Work Plan and other relevant documents are available at the document repository located at Orangeburg Library, 20 South Greenbush Road, Orangeburg, 10962. Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town of Rhinebeck Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local Law 2 of 2017 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a Local Law amending the Town of Rhinebeck's Code Chapter 125, Zoning, in the matter of Solar and Wind Energy Systems. The project is located throughout the Town of Rhinebeck, New York.

Putnam County - The Town of Patterson Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Zoning Amendments will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposed amendment of the Zoning Code for the Town of Patterson including, but not limited to:

1) providing clarification on a number of issues within the Zoning Code including the addition of a number of definitions;
2) provide for Bed and Breakfast establishments in the Hamlet of Patterson;
3) amendment of the rules concerning the placement and heights of fences;
4) amendment of the rules for signs for Regional Retail Centers; and
5) amendment of the rules for signs to comport with recent decisions of the Court regarding roadside signs.

The project is located throughout the Town of Patterson, New York.

Westchester County - The City of Peekskill Common Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Trinity Associates Zoning Text Amendment and Special Use Permit Application (Senior Housing) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to demolish an existing fraternal organization structure and replace it with a new 5 story architecturally-prominent structure with 52 senior apartments. 16 - One (1)bedroom and 36 - Two (2) bedroom units are proposed. Amenities would include a community room, exercise room and laundry room, extensive landscaping, preservation of existing vegetation and relocation / reconstruction of an existing stone wall along Crompond Road, use of "green" drainage management, and outdoor passive recreation / sitting and walking areas. The new structure would be set back 93 feet from Route 202 (Crompond Road) on a 2.14 acre parcel. A rectangular building oriented with the property's shape is proposed; parking would be maintained in the same general area and configuration as it is now (52 spaces). New sidewalk / crosswalk striping would be implemented as part of the development along Crompond Road connecting to Woods Brook Drive. Five stories would face Route 202 with 4 stories at the rear due to site grades. The apartments would be 700 to 800 square feet with full kitchens, and services would include laundry and cleaning and licensed home care if needed, but no medical services. The project is located at 1847 Crompond Road, west of Woods Brook Drive, in the City of Peekskill, New York

Positive Declaration

Orange County - The Town of Monroe Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Larkin Drive LLC Site Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the development of a 7,900 square feet retail space building, two 3 story office buildings of 99,300 square feet each and a 100 room hotel consisting of 93,480 square feet with banquet facilities. The project is located on Larkin Drive in the Town of Monroe, New York.
