Negative Declaration

Greene County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Falke Quarry Mined Land Permit Modification/Renewal and Air State Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the renewal and modification of an existing Mined Land Reclamation permit and the issuance of a new Air State Facility Permit to Cobleskill Stone Products, Inc. for Falke's Quarry. The project is located on Falke Road off NYS Route 23A in the Towns of Lexington and Prattsville, New York.

Schoharie County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Howes Cave Quarry Mined Land Permit Modification/Renewal will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the renewal and modification of an existing Mined Land Reclamation permit to Cobleskill Stone Products, Inc. for Howes Cave Quarry. The project is located at 168 Industrial Drive in the Town of Cobleskill, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Rensselaer County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hemstreet Park Mine may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until close of business on April 7, 2017. Copies of the Draft Scoping Outline and the mining maps are available for review at the Arvilla E. Diver Library, 136 Main Street, Schaghticoke, NY 12154; the Schaghticoke Town Clerk Office, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, NY 12121; the NYS DEC - Region 4 Headquarters, 1130 North Westcott Road, Schenectady, NY 12306. Additional copies of the Draft Scoping Outline may also be obtained by contacting the NYS DEC at (518) 357-2452.

The action involves proposal to add 99 acres to an existing 165 acre life of mine sand and gravel mine, for a new life of mine area of 264 acres. The project also includes the installation of two culvert crossings for internal haul road construction. The project is located on Allen Road in the Town of Schaghticoke, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS

Albany County - The City of Albany Common Council, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Unified Sustainable Development Ordinance. The Draft GEIS is available from the City of Albany City Hall, 200 Henry Johnson Boulevard Albany, NY 12210 and on line at: http://rezonealbany.com/documents.

The action involves a proposal by the City of Albany to adopt the Unified Sustainable Development Ordinance, a series of zoning text and map amendments which govern the laws under which development is regulated. The proposed action was developed as a response to the adoption of the Albany 2030 Comprehensive Plan - the city's first comprehensive plan in its almost 400 years of existence in April of 2012. In response to the Albany 2030 Plan, the proposed action intends to address the shortcomings of the current zoning and assist in achieving the planning goals of Albany 2030 by making changes to the City of Albany's zoning and administrative code. The project is located throughout the City of Albany, New York.
