Project Description:

The applicant has applied for an initial permit for the continued withdrawal of 120,000 gallons per minute of water for the purpose of potable water supply from three onsite groundwater wells. The withdrawal capacity is limited by their treatment facility. The facility has been in operation in its current configuration since 1988. No changes in current operations from recent years are proposed.

The Department has determined that the facility is eligible for an Initial Permit under Section 15-1501.9 of the Environmental Conservation Law. Initial Permits are limited to existing facilities for existing water withdrawals over 100,000 gallons per day which were properly reported to the Department prior to February 15, 2012. Section 15-501.9 requires the Department to issue Initial Water Withdrawal Permits for the reported volume.

The Department has determined that the Facility is eligible for an Initial Permit under Section 15-1501.9 of the Environmental Conservation Law. Initial Permits are limited to existing facilities for existing water withdrawals over 100,000 gallons per day which were properly reported to the Department prior to February 15, 2012. Project Description:

The applicant has proposed the construction of a new +/- 13, 225 square foot CVS Pharmacy on a +/- 2.04 acre parcel located at the intersection of Lake Hill Road and Route 50 in the Town of Ballston. The property was the site of the former "Old Homestead" restaurant and is adjacent to the Burnt Hills Fire District. The applicant is seeking coverage under the DEC Freshwater Wetlands permit for unavoidable impacts to the regulated adjacent area of DEC regulated wetland B-30 (class 2) as well as a Stream Disturbance permit for unavoidable impacts to an unnamed Class C(T) stream resulting from the replacement of an existing 253 foot long culvert that carries the stream through the parcel. Stormwater runoff will be managed on-site using an underground stormwater detention system and bioretention facility.

Cultural resource lists and maps have been checked. The proposed activity is not in an area of identified archaeological sensitivity and no known registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified or documented for the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
