Tree Cutting Notice - Gull Lake Trail Snowmobile Bridge Replacement

The project involves the removal of a total of 17 trees ≥ 3 inches at Diameter Breast Height adjacent to a bridge construction site along the Gull Lake Trail in the Black River Wild Forest, Town of Ohio, New York. The bridge to be constructed will replace an existing bridge that is in disrepair. This area (approximately 40 foot by 40 foot in size) is to be cleared to facilitate a drop of bridge construction materials from a helicopter. The drop zone boundaries were inspected, selected and marked with pink flagging by Senior Forester Michael Marsh. Trees will be felled by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) - Division of Operations Staff, cut into smaller pieces and left outside of the drop zone. Tree cutting will be in compliance with Lands and Forests Policy 91-2 on Cutting, Removal or Destruction of Trees and Other Vegetation on Forest Preserve Lands.

Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Town of Orleans, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed LaFargeville Sewer Improvements Addendum - Transfer Site Solar PV Installation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the Town of Orleans to install a 45.6kw Solar PV ground mount array located of the Town's Transfer Site on East Line Road as part of the LaFargeville Sewer District Improvements Project. The project is located on Eastline Road (County Route 3) in Clayton, Town of Orleans, New York.

Jefferson County - The Town of Clayton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Revised and Updated Joint Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the update and revision of the Town of Clayton's Joint Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Clayton and Town of Clayton. The project is located throughout the Town of Clayton and Village of Clayton, New York.
