Project Description:

Applicant proposes to remove the existing 130-foot long, 2-span bridge and replace it with a 150-foot long, single-span bridge. In addition, approximately 100 linear feet of the upstream corridor and 175 linear feet of the downstream corridor will be graded and re-aligned, and streambank stabilization will include 275 feet of medium stone fill along the north and south stream banks with 75 feet of heavy stone fill at the north and south abutments; total length of stream disturbance at this project site is 350 linear feet.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Applicant proposes to replace existing fordway with a 69-foot long bridge over Enfield Creek, stabilize the stream channel by re-grading, armoring restored banks, and constructing in-stream water control structures; work to be performed in two phases impacting a 155-foot stretch upstream and a 250-foot stretch downstream of the existing fordway. Project site is located at Robert H. Treman State Park at Park Road over Enfield Creek, Town of Ithaca, County of Tompkins.
