Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Village of Round Lake, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water System Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to install a new 3 stage tank aeration system and/or a new granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration system to remove Disinfection Byproducts (DBP) and DBP precursors. The carbon filtration system would be installed within a new 400 square foot building at the existing tank site and would require connection to the Village's sanitary sewer for periodic backwash waste disposal. Other proposed process improvements include the installation of a new tank level control system and replacement of the chlorine feed system. To improve the distribution system, the project proposes a new domestic booster pump system (with a 150 square foot building) to increase pressures on New York Avenue and miscellaneous distribution improvements throughout the Village of Round Lake. Additionally, to correct a known problem with corroded valve bolts, spot repairs on approximately 150 water main valves are proposed. The project also proposes a future back-up water supply connection to the Saratoga Water Service (SWS) system on Route 9 in the Town of Malta. The project is located in the Village of Round Lake, New York.

Saratoga County - The Town of Halfmoon Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed VanWert Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposed 21 unit single family home development on approximately 21.7 acres at the end of Angle Lane and a stub road off Ridgewood Drive in the Town of Halfmoon. Minimum lots sizes are 20,000 square feet and will be served by public water and public sewer. Approximately 7.156 acres (34%) of the land is proposed as a deed restricted conservation zone area. The proposed subdivision will connect to the existing stub road off Ridgewood Drive and have a potential connection, with a temporary turn around, to the adjacent, previously-approved residential subdivision known as "The Meadows of Halfmoon" (not under construction). The project is located at the end of Angle Lane and a stub road off Ridgewood Drive in the Town of Halfmoon, New York.
