Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The East Hampton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Management and Stewardship Plan for Community Preservation Fund (CPF) Properties 2017 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Community Preservation Fund law requires a Management and Stewardship Plan, (M & S Plan), to account for any expenditure related to the management and stewardship on CPF properties. The proposed 2017 M & S Plan is essentially a blueprint of the Management and Stewardship responsibilities that define how each property is to be maintained during the year. The proposed M & S Plan includes restoration work on some of the historic properties, as well as baseline documentation of properties, species inventories, clearing, trail and walkway/boardwalk construction and maintenance, installation of signs and kiosks, invasive species removal, building demolition, debris removal, removal of encroachments, native plant revegetation and monitoring of agricultural activities.

Detailed management plans for specific properties will be subject to further SEQRA review as they are developed. Management and Stewardship for all parcels will be consistent with the resolutions that were passed to initiate these acquisitions. Specific projects not detailed within the M & S Plan are subject to further SEQRA review when those detailed plans are drafted.

The project is located in the Town of East Hampton, New York.
