Project Description:

The applicant proposes to install and operate a temporary well point dewatering system to facilitate the installation of a gravity sewer line connection for the Whaler's Cove condominium. The dewatering will consist of approximately 40 wellpoints installed to a depth of 6.4 feet below grade. All water shall pass through the proposed storm drain catch basin in John Street, ultimately discharging into Sampawams Creek. The maximum discharge will not exceed 70,000 gallons per day. Duration of the dewatering project shall be for a maximum period of 2 weeks.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Jan 19, 2017.

Applicant proposes to perform shoreline stabilization. Placement of geotubes, coverage with approximately 1,200 cubic yards of clean compatible upland source sand and revegetation of all affected areas. Extend the exiting walkway over the new berm and relocate the existing stairs. The project is located at 393 Cranberry Hole Rd, Amagansett, Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County.
