Notice of Public Comment Period and Public Meeting

Draft Recreation Management Plan for the Oswegatchie Conservation Easement

Proposals in the draft Oswegatchie Conservation Easement Recreation Management Plan (RMP) include: Access to hunting, fishing and trapping opportunities, Designation of parking areas and campsites, Designation of snowmobile trails and the construction of alternative routes to be used during logging operations, Construction of short hiking trails, Motorized Access Program for People with Disabilities access to the western portion of the property. Oswegatchie Conservation Easement is located in the Towns of Croghan and Diana, New York.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) will be holding a public meeting on the Draft RMP on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lowville DEC Office, 7327 State Route 812, Lowville, NY 13367.

Comments are welcome and will be accepted by the contact person until February 1, 2017.

Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Sackets Harbor Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Storm Door Installation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of two new storm doors to existing exterior doorways on the west wing side of building.. The project is located in the Village Center and Historic Overlay Districts at 119 West Main Street, Sackets Harbor, New York.

Jefferson County - The Village of Clayton Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Historic District Utility Lines Installation Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a Local Law to require all utility lines within the Village of Clayton Historic District, as the same is defined in the local law to be located and/or relocated underground. The project is located From intersection of Hugunin and James Street proceeding to Riverside Drive, continuing on Webb Street to the intersection of Hugurnn and Webb Streets in the Village of Clayton, New York.

Jefferson County - The Village of Adams Village Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Pollution Control Facility and Collection System Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves improvements to the Village of Adams Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) as well as improvements to the Village's Collection System. The improvements consist of replacement and/or rehabilitation of various components of the WPCF and collection system and construction of a new pole barn structure at the WPCF. The project is located in the Village of Adams, New York.
