Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cabins at Wildwood State Park will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of ten new cabins adjacent to the existing campground in the Wildwood State Park for use as rental units by park patrons. Each cabin will likely have a footprint of approximately 650 square feet including a screened porch or deck; equipped with a kitchenette; bathroom/shower facilities and one or two bedrooms. The cabins will be suitable for use during three seasons (spring, summer and autumn). Site improvements will include an access roadway and parking accommodations. The cabins will be connected to existing utilities including electric, water and cable (internet). New on site sanitary disposal systems will be installed. The project is located in the Wildwood State Park on Hulse Landing Road in the Town of Riverhead, New York.
