Public Notice

Pursuant to Title 3, Article 49 of the Environmental Conservation Law, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) hereby gives public notice of the following:

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 49-0305 (9) of the Environmental Conservation Law, of NYS DEC's intent to acquire a Conservation Easement from Open Space Institute over certain lands located in the Towns of Dannemora, Saranac and Black Brook, Clinton County, New York.

Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Town of Malta, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Route 67 West - Neighborhood 7 Comprehensive Master Plan and Zoning Amendments will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the Town of Malta for an amendment to Neighborhood 7 of the Town of Malta Comprehensive Master Plan adopted in 2005 and zoning amendments, consistent with the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment, of Town of Malta, New York, parcels along NYS Route 67, between the Northway and the municipal boundary adjoining the Town of Ballston at Middle Line Road. Overall, these amendments impact an area of approximately 630 acres.

The action involves the adoption of Local Law #10 of 2016. The project is located throughout the Town of Saratoga, New York.

Warren County - The Village of Lake George Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Lake George Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Village of Lake George making upgrades to its POTW/sewage treatment plant as more particularly described in section 7, proposed project, of the "Village of Lake George Evaluation and Treatment Plant Upgrade Project" prepared by AES Northeast last revised November 13, 2015. The project is being undertaken in accordance with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Order on Consent R5-20140530-2120 and New York State Environmental Facilities Corp (NYS EFC) Project Number 5571-4-00. The project is located in the Village of Lake George, New York.
