Project Description:

Construction of 1.65 mile Lucy Trail for pedestrians/bicycles use that begins at the Lucille Ball Memorial Park in the Village of Celeron and will end at McCrea Point Park in the City of Jamestown. Construction will provide ADA compliant sidewalks within the Village of Celeron and widening of the shoulders for the trail to continue. Site is adjacent to Freshwater Wetland LW-10 and approximately 0.8 acres of the Adjacent Area will be impacted.

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve an application for the stabilization of 117 linear feet of shoreline with rock armor and riprap. The project will involve installation of four ton toe rock and one to three ton rock behind the toe rock with geo-textile underlay. Deep root vegetation will be planted along the breakwall. Also included is the stabilization of 75 linear feet of shoreline on an adjacent property using the same methods.The projects are located at 1463 Sunrise Lane and 1461 Sunrise Lane, respectively, in the Town of Porter. As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.
