Negative Declaration

Herkimer County - The Village of Mohawk, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fulmer GreenPlain Park North will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of an additional section of the Fulmer GreenPlain corridor that connects and extends the greenplain from the West Main Street bridge to the confluence of Fulmer Creek and the Mohawk River.

This phase of the project includes clean up of a pre-existing debris site, the design of the entire corridor section including trail connections, trailhead parking, utilities and recreational amenities as well as the construction of multi-use ball fields, access improvements, parking, restroom facilities and other amenities. Expected outcomes for this phase are the creation of a master plan for this section of the greenplain and the development of trail connections and a public park.

The project is located at 108 West Main Street in the Village of Mohawk, New York.
