Project Description:

The applicant is proposing disturbances to the bed and bank of the Oneida River (NYS Water Index #: Ont 66-11, Class B), in association to a streambank stabilization project. The project includes the removal of existing streambank stabilization practices, and the placement of 159 linear feet of rock rip rap to stabilize erosion along the streambank and existing boat ramp.

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

Applicant proposes to replace bridge BIN 1023170 over Cayuta Creek with a new bridge on a new alignment to the east of the existing structure. Proposal will impact approximately 400 linear feet of the stream, and include approximately 145 cubic yards (0.068 ac) of permanent stone fill and 844 cubic yards (0.2 ac) of temporary stone fill for a causeway to provide equipment access during construction. The project is located on State Route 34 in the Town of Barton, County of Tioga.
