The proposed discharge is located within an area designates as a sole source aquifer. The Suffolk County Water Authority has water purveyor services located within 3 miles of this facility.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct two wells on their property. The first proposed well is a 6-inch diameter irrigation well at a depth of 60 feet and having a pumping capacity of 60 gallons per minute. The second proposed well is a 6-inch diameter domestic supply well at a depth of 60 feet and having a pumping capacity of 45 gallons per minute to provide potable drinking water. The estimated yearly pumpage of the irrigation well and potable water well is 25,920 gallons and 18,000 gallons respectively. The project is located at 555 Sagaponack Road, Sagaponack, Town of Southampton, Suffolk County Tax Map # 908-3-2-19.
