Fact Sheet

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application and Draft Remedial Investigation Work Plan from Charles Bohl Incorporated for a site known as Master Cleaners, site ID #C401072. This site is located in the Town of Guilderland, within the County of Albany, and is located at 2312 Western Avenue. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than September 30, 2016. A copy of the application, Draft Remedial Investigation Work Plan and other relevant documents are available at the document repository located at the Guilderland Public Library, 2228 Western Avenue, Guilderland. Office of General Services

Pursuant to Section 30-a of the Public Lands Law the New York State Office of General Services (NYS OGS) hereby gives notice to the following:

Notice is hereby given that the New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT) has declared that two parcels of lands located in the City of Cohoes, Albany County described on two maps both entitled "Lands of the People of the State of New York Under Present Jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation." One map is dated June 20, 2016, designated as Map No. 270, Abandonment Parcel No. 271 and contains an area of 0.6575 acre, and the other map is dated June 16, 2016, designated as Map No. 271, Abandonment Parcel 272 and contains an area of 0.2303 acre, are no longer useful for State program purposes and has been declared abandoned to the New York State Commissioner of General Services for sale or other disposition as unappropriated State land. This abandonment was approved on August 9, 2016.

Negative Declaration

Greene County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Borwegen Mine Modification will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the modification to existing mining permit to allow blasting to extract shale material and increase in the Life of Mine of 0.63 acres. The project is located County Route 20, east of Prink Hill Lane in the Town of Durham, New York.
