The weather station consists of a 33 foot tall tower centered within a 33 foot x 33 foot plot of land enclosed by a green vinyl chain link fence. The tower will be on a 39.60 square foot concrete foundation, equipped with weather measuring devices. Within the fenced area will hold a rain gauge, solar panel and battery equipment to power the site. The proposed project will have a positive public benefit by providing up to date and localized weather data. The project is located in the Taconic State Park at 1000 Orphan Farm Road in the Town of Copake, New York.
