Negative Declaration

Genesee County - The Town of Byron, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Byron-Water District No. 7 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. As currently proposed, Water District No. 7 involves the installation of a total of approximately 38,200 linear feet of waterline along portions of Byron Elba Road (State Highway 262), Caswell Road, Walkers Corner Road (County Road 19), Batavia Byron Road (County Road 19A), and Cockram Road. Activities include the installation of watermain, fire hydrants, valves, flushing units, watermain connections, residential hook-ups, road crossings, excavation and bedding materials and surface restoration. The purpose of the project is to address serious health and safety problems and ensure that residents of this area have a reliable supply of good quality water and fire protection. The project is located on portions of Byron Elba Road (State Hwy 262), Caswell Road, Walkers Corner Road (County Road 19), Batavia Byron Road (County Road 19A), and Cockram Road in the Town of Byron, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Extension of Comment Period

Monroe County - The Town of Brighton Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Whole Foods Project (formerly known as Palazzo Plaza). Written comments deadline on the Draft EIS has been extended. Comments will now be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on August 1, 2016. The action involves an application for Incentive Zoning of all or part of four parcels of land, with a total project area of 10.1 acres, on the northeast side of Monroe Avenue, between Clover Street and the northbound access ramp of NYS Route 590, in the Town of Brighton, New York. The application proposes combining and redeveloping the parcels mentioned above as a specialty grocer, specialty coffee shop with a drive through, and other community retail tenants. The redevelopment will result in the construction of approximately 93,960 square feet of retail space within four buildings.
