Negative Declaration

Seneca County - Seneca County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Route 318 Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The proposed action includes the installation of sanitary sewer conveyances within the existing right-of-way along Route 318 between NYS Route 414 on the east and Grange Hall Road on the west. The majority of the proposed work is within the Town of Junius boundaries with some work located in the Town of Tyre.

A new County Sewer District will also be formed in accordance with Article 5-A of County Law to facilitate construction, operation and maintenance, and administration of the proposed NYS Route 318 conveyances. The proposed district boundary is generally bound by the NYS Route 318 highway right-of way between the existing Town of Tyre Sewer District No. 1 on the east and the intersection of Grange Hill Road on the west. Further, the proposed County Sewer District would encompass the Waterloo Outlet Mall parcel only, which is currently included in the Town of Junius Sewer District. The Waterloo Outlet Mall would therefore be the only user within the County Sewer District. Sanitary wastewater will be conveyed to the Town of Seneca Falls' WWTP for treatment. The project is located at Route 318, Towns of Junius, Tyre and Seneca Falls, NY.
