Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Suffolk County - The Village of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Application of Beechwood Latch, LLC - Village Latch Residences may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on August 1, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the Village of Southampton Village Hall, 23 Main Street, Southampton, NY. The Applicant is requesting site plan approval and a change in non-conforming use of a 5.24-acre site from a rooming house and inn to a 24-unit multifamily residential condominium development. Five of the new condominium units would be contained in two adaptively re-used buildings and seven new buildings would be constructed to support the remaining condominium units. Access would be provided via two existing driveway curb cuts on Hill Street, and new garages and surface parking areas would accommodate 71 vehicles. Water service would be provided by the Suffolk County Water Authority and sanitary sewage disposal would be accommodated by new individual septic systems. A clubhouse, pool and associated site amenities and improvements are also proposed. The project is located at 101 and 109 Hill Street, 200 ± feet west of Vahradian Way, Village of Southampton, New York.
