Project Description: The applicant is proposing an adventure ropes course, zip line, and guide service within the existing Cascade Cross-Country Ski Center lodge. The lodge will be used in the off-season (late spring, summer, and fall), thereby creating a multi-season use of the existing property. The project involves a new commercial use within 300 feet of the edge of NYS Route 73, a designated Highway Critical Environmental Area (CEA).

Project Title: J & D Marina, LLC (dba Castaway Marina) Dredging Project

Location: NYS Route 9L and lands underwater of Lake George in the Town of Queensbury, New York.

Project Description: The action involves proposed mechanical dredging of approximately 2,000 cubic yards of lake bottom sediment at an existing marina, involving wetlands, to remove sediments which have accumulated since the last dredging project in 1998 and are impeding navigation. Dredged material will be de-watered on-site on a lawn area and a portion of a parking lot adjacent to the dredge location, and removed off-site to a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) approved facility. Silt fence, straw bales, and turbidity curtains will be utilized to protect water quality and wetlands while the project is undertaken.


Negative Declaration

Essex County - The Village of Port Henry Village Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Village of Port Henry Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of a comprehensive plan pursuant to Village Law 7-722. The Plan includes a description of the environmental resources in the Village, and includes maps, demographic data, and an inventory and profile of the Village. It also establishes a long-term vision, goals, and a set of strategies and actions the Village can implement over time to meet those goals. The purpose for developing and adopting a comprehensive plan in the Village is to have a tool that provides guidance as to the issues, needs and policies to be followed by the Village. The project is located throughout the Village of Port Henry, New York.

Saratoga County - The Town of Halfmoon Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Linden Woods A and B Residential Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the subdivision of 87 single family home lots on approximately 75.52 total acres. Part A, a Planned Development District (PDD) previously approved by the Halfmoon Town Board, includes 47 lots on approximately 37.21 acres. Part B, a conventional subdivision, includes 40 lots on approximately 38.31 acres, with 35 new lots and 5 lots containing existing homes. The project is located on the west side of Dunsbach Road, approximately 2,400 feet north of the Crescent Road intersection in the Town of Halfmoon, New York.

Washington County - The Washington County Board of Supervisors, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Washington County Snowmobile Trail Grant-In-Aid Application for the Year 2016-2017 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of a new trail, two reroutes of existing trails due to change in landowner permission, and two changes in trail maintenance responsibilities. The project is located in the Washington County Towns of Hartford, Granville, Jackson, White Creek and Fort Ann, New York.
