Project Description:

The applicant proposes to stabilize a 350 linear foot section of eroding stream bank along Goose Creek by installing a stone toe, bendway weirs, and two grade control sills. Willow live-stakes will be planted above the ordinary high water mark. Upper slope areas will be graded and seeded with native plantings. The project site is immediately upstream (south) of the Route 394 bridge over Goose Creek, at the facility address above.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Evaluation using a Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form or other information has concluded that the proposed activity will not impact registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to stabilize a 100 linear foot section of severely eroding stream bank by installing stacked 4'x2'x2' pre-cast concrete blocks up the bank to stabilize the toe of slope to the high water elevation. Both ends of the project will be keyed into stable banks. Bendway weirs will also be incorporated into the project. All disturbed areas will be seeded and mulched upon project completion. The project is located approximately 1,150 feet downstream (southwest) of the Bear Lake Road Bridge over Tributary 2 of Bear Lake at the facility address above.
