Project Description:

The applicant is proposing disturbances to NYS Freshwater Wetland K-12, Class 1, and its 100-foot adjacent area (AA), in association to maintenance and rehabilitation work within the stream corridor of an unnamed tributary of the Kisco River (NYS Water Index #: H-31-P 44-43-8, Class C). The purpose of this project is to reduce flooding issues within the Village of Mount Kisco. The proposed work includes the following: removal of invasive vegetation, debris and refuse within the stream; removal of invasive vegetation within portions of the wetland and AA; installation of geotextile pond liner at two locations (one within the wetland and one within the AA) to prevent reestablishment of invasive vegetation; removal of invasive vegetation within existing stormwater retention basins; and the replacement of four existing CMP culverts connecting the wetland to the stream. The project sites are located east of Shopper's Park and southwest of Lieto Drive, within the Village of Mount Kisco.
