Project Title: Adirondack League Club

Location: Near Bisby Road in the Town of Ohio, New York.

Project Description: Timber harvesting on a 90 ± acre portion of the Adirondack League Club's 37,000 acre property, consisting of the overstory removal phase of an established seed tree system.


Negative Declaration

Lewis County - The Village of Lowville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Improvements and Street Reconstruction (Five Streets Project) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the full depth reconstruction of Stowe Street, River Street, Shady Avenue, Trinity Avenue and Park Avenue (about 15,500 linear feet) in the Village of Lowville, New York. Also included will be the replacement of existing sanitary sewer and water mains within these street corridors. Additionally the laterals/services for these utilities will be replaced to the existing street margin. A storm sewer will be installed to separate sanitary waste and storm water runoff. Pumping stations are proposed to replace existing siphon systems at Hitchcock Creek (Stowe Street) and Mill Creek (East State Street). The project shall also include a transmission line taking water directly to the reservoir for the village from where water from the water filtration plant enters the village and further reconstruction of sewer mains near the Cazenovia equipment property

Lewis County - The Village of Lowville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Waste Water Treatment Plant Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of dual pipelines from the Kraft-Heinz plant to the waste water treatment facility of the village. Also it includes the interim improvement of the current lagoon system by the addition of aeration, the desludging of the beds, and other related improvements to provide temporary capacity, and a long term Phase II construction of new sewer treatment technologies and improvement to the wastewater treatment facilities which will also provide additional capacity for treatment. The project is located on Stow Street, River Street, Shady Avenue, Trinity Avenue and Park Avenue in the Village of Lowville, New York.

Oneida County - The City of Rome, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Railroad Street Interceptor Upgrades Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Railroad Street Interceptor Upgrades Project is being conducted by the City of Rome, New York to improve the capacity of the interceptor during wet weather periods by constructing a new interceptor sewer parallel to the existing interceptor sewer. The new parallel sewer will consist of a new 20 inch force main from the High Level Pump Station to a point east of the Mohawk River in Railroad Street, and a gravity sewer ranging in size from 30 inch to 42 inch from this point to the City of Rome Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF). The total length of parallel force main and gravity sewer to be constructed is 12,500 feet. The project is located along Railroad Street and parallel to the Mohawk, Adirondack and Northern Railroad in the City of Rome, New York.
