Public Notice

Palmer Pond Bridge Site Clearing

The project, called for in the Community Connector Trail Plan, involves construction of an administrative motor vehicle bridge over the outlet of Palmer Pond. On the entire north side of the outlet as well as the south side up to the dam, the route will be designed to accommodate administrative motor vehicles. 266 trees were previously noticed in a recent ENB, but an additional 13 need to be removed in order to safely use construction equipment. Tree marking was determined through clearing limits on the site plan. The clearing limits depicted on the site plan will allow for earth work and maneuverability of cranes and equipment that will be constructing the bridge and route.

The project is located in the Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest in the Town of North Hudson, New York.
