Project Description:

In order to adequately serve expanding electric load growth, the applicant proposes to install a new overhead pole line consisting of 45 foot poles spaced approximately 200 feet apart along East River Road in the Town of Henrietta. Ten new utility pole installations and four utility pole replacements will occur within the adjacent area of NYSDEC Freshwater Wetland HR-26. Three utility pole replacements will occur within the adjacent area of NYSDEC Freshwater Wetland HR-7. The total acreage to be physically disturbed will be approximately 0.001 acre.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The proposed project includes reconstruction of approximately 1500 linear feet of Flint Creek stream channel that experienced significant streambank erosion during the May 2014 storm and June 2015 flash flood storm events. The project has been designed in accordance with guidance available in the DEC's Post Storm Stream Intervention Manual. Downed trees within the vicinity of the project area will be re-used as root wads to help redirect the stream away from bank failure prone areas. Willow stems will also be installed as "living stakes" to help stabilize the reconstructed channel banks and floodplain area.

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

DEC Commissioner Policy 29, Environmental Justice and Permitting (CP-29)

It has been determined that the proposed action is not subject to CP-29.
