Project Description:

The applicant proposes to replace three existing 6 foot diameter culverts in Bunn Hill Creek with a three sided concrete box culvert to improve hydraulic capacity and restore stream bed substrate. The project area includes the mouth at the Susquehanna River extending upstream 250 feet, all under existing pavement. Application and project plans are available for review in the Cortland Office.

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve an application for a Freshwater Wetland Permit. The applicant, Good Nature Brewing, Inc., proposes the construction of a stormwater management pond within the 100' adjacent area of Wetland HA-8. The construction will impact approximately 0.13 acres of the buffer, and no impact to the wetland is expected. A concrete weir will be constructed for a stormwater outlet to the wetland during high volume events. Application and project plans are available for review in the Cortland Office.

SEQR Lead Agency: Hamilton Village Planning Board

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A cultural resources survey has been completed and cultural resources were identified. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no adverse impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
