Project Description:

The applicant proposes to clear debris and sediment deposits from the upstream and downstream side of the Carney Hollow Road bridge over Little Mill Creek, a NYSDEC Class AA stream. The purpose of the project is to regain flow capacity and reduce the likelihood of Carney Hollow Road flooding during high water events. Approximately 11 cubic yards of material will be removed over a length of approximately 125 linear feet of stream.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The Town of Henrietta, in partnership with the Finger Lakes Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management, are proposing the installation of bethic mats to control a recently discovered invasive submerged aquatic plant species, Hydrilla verticillata. The mats will be installed in areas of infestation based on visual inspection of the approximately 1 acre open-water area. The pond is located within NYS freshwater wetland HR-4.

Article 34 Coastal Erosion Management

Project Description:

Applicant proposes to install drain tile and drain basin for surface drainage. A pipe (8"diameter) will be horizontally bored through the Lake Ontario bluff. A 4-foot by 10-foot by 4-foot deep pit will be excavated for the ingress hole, the basin installed in it, and the hole refilled and seeded. The lawn area will be graded using approximately 100 cubic yards of topsoil. Erosion controls will be installed for upper bluff using erosion mat & hydroseeding. Approximately 90 cubic yards of new topsoil will be placed on the bluff. Stairs & cargo trolley, approximately 100 feet in length, will be installed elevated over the bluff. This project is located within a Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (CEHA), and therefore requires an Article 34 CEHA permit.

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

DEC Commissioner Policy 29, Environmental Justice and Permitting (CP-29)

It has been determined that the proposed action is not subject to CP-29.
