A cultural resources survey has been completed. The report of the survey is on file. No archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to disturb a portion of Freshwater Wetland LC-63 (Class I) and its 100 foot adjacent area in conjunction with the construction of a stormwater detention basin and related drainage improvements for phosphorous and sediment removal on a 2.3 acre site adjacent to the Croton Falls Reservoir. Proposed improvements include construction of the new detention basin with forebay, micropool, diversion and riser boxes, replacement of a 24" diameter culvert, lining a roadside ditch with rip-rap, construction of an outfall with rip-rap protection, construction of a portion of gravel access road, and comprehensive revegetation of disturbed areas with native wetland species to compensate for wetland disturbances. The total area of disturbance to the wetland is approximately 0.08 acre; the total area of disturbance to the adjacent area is approximately 1.1 acre. The project is located on the north side of Drewville Road west of the intersection with Stoneleigh Avenue in the Town of Carmel, Putnam County.
