Negative Declaration

Livingston County - The Town of York Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bulk Cheese Production Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a 29,250 square foot bulk cheese manufacturing facility. The products produced by this facility will be transported in bulk containers in block form and barrel form to locations where final packaging will occur. Wastewater from the cheese manufacturing will be sent o on site wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) where the high strength will be separated from the wastewater stream. The high strength solids will be converted into energy through a digester and generator located on the adjoining Noblehurst Farms property. A portion of the wastewater stream will be available for land application, with the remaining portion being discharged to the City of York's wastewater treatment plant for final treatment. The WWTP is currently being designed. The project is located at 1790 Craig Road in the Town of York, New York.
