Project Description:

Applicant proposes to construct a driveway within the regulated 100 foot adjacent area to NYS Freshwater Wetland CAM-25. The driveway will be approximately 870 feet long and will follow an existing logging road. The single family residence it is associated with will not be built within the regulated boundaries of the wetland. Erosion and sediment controls will be required at all times to prevent any disturbance to the wetland. The project site is located on a 70 acre parcel on the west end of Trotters Ridge Run, on the west side of Pinewood Drive.

Project Description:

Applicant has applied for Water Quality Certification from NYSDEC for a project to develop a 31.6 acre vacant agricultural lot for commercial use along route 31 in the Town of Clay. A .27 acre Federal Wetland will be filled for which a U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Permit has been issued. Erosion and sediment controls will be required to maintain water quality standards. The project is located on the south side of Route 31, between Oswego Road and Willow Stream.

Project Description:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is proposing a Department Initiated Modification (DIM) to the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit (NY0002101), pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 750-1.18, and 750-1.19, the Priority Ranking System known as New York State's Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy (EBPS). The facility discharges treated non-contact cooling water and stormwater through outfalls 001, 02A, 003, 007, and 008 to the West Branch of Bloody Brook, a class C water.

The facility engineers, manufactures, and tests radar and sonar equipment, including software development and assembly of hardware. Treatment consists of air stripping for the removal of VOC. The following changes to the permit are proposed: Monitoring and limit requirements of parameters have been added or modified for outfalls. Action levels have been adjusted. Whole Effluent Toxicity testing, and Best Management Practices have been updated. Details of changes are specified in the draft permit and fact sheet.

The Town of Mexico proposes to expand its water district with the installation of new water distributions mains, fire hydrants, and water service taps along sections of Route 3, Route 104, Route 11, Pumphouse Road, Fish Road, North Church Road, Chapman Road and Sage Creek Road. The regulated boundaries of NYS Freshwater Wetlands PI-8 and NH-7 along Route 3, Chapman Rd, and Pumphouse Road will be impacted during construction. Streams along Route 11 and Route 3 will be directionally bored under. Erosion and sediment controls will be required to maintain water quality at all time during construction.
