Negative Declaration

Herkimer County - The Village of Herkimer, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Washington Street Beautification and Enhancement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the replacement of curbs, sidewalks, road paving, cross-walk striping, landscaping, street trees, period lighting and storm sewer system work. The project is located along North Washington Street in Herkimer, New York.

Jefferson County - The Development Authority of the North Country, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Solid Waste Management Facility Natural Resources Management - 2016-17 Timber Sale will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Development Authority of the North Country Solid Waste Management Facility (SWMF) proposes to manage a timber harvest within an approximately 40 acre area of forest land to increase the shrub component of the landscape and release the remaining hard mast trees for wildlife habitat and management. This harvest will occur between November 15, 2016 and March 1, 2017 and include the sale of approximately 65 Million Board Feet of saw timber and 1,800 tons of low grade hardwood and softwood. The harvest would be conducted in accordance with the Solid Waste Management Facility's Natural Resources Management Plan adopted by the Development Authority of the North Country on October 22, 2015. The Natural Resources Management Plan guides natural resource management and environmental stewardship on the facility's 1,543 acres of land. The project is located on NYS Route 177 in the Town of Rodman, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Herkimer, Lewis, Oneida and St. Lawrence Counties - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA), as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Amendments to the Adirondack State Land Master Plan. The Final EIS is available from the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters, 1133 NYS Route 86, Ray Brook NY and on line at: www.apa.ny.gov.

The action involves amendments to the Adirondack park State Land Master Plan (APSLMP) involving major changes to basic guidelines, additional content, minor changes and ministerial changes. The project is located on all New York State Lands in the Adirondack Park.
