Project Description:

The Town of Webb, as owner and operator of the McCauley Mountain Ski Center, proposes to withdraw up to a maximum of 1,500 gallons per minute or 1,872,000 gallons per day of surface water from Gray Lake to supply the Ski Center's snowmaking equipment.

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

It has been determined that the proposed action is not subject to CP-29.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to improve an existing recreational trail through NYS regulated wetland BF-17, a Class III wetland. The project involves the placement of approximately 325 cubic yards of fill in the wetland. Project also involves construction of a 12 foot wide by 30 foot long wooden bridge supported by timber cribs. The action will result in a total disturbance to the wetland of 2,890 square feet (0.07 acres).

Cultural resource lists and maps have been checked. The proposed activity is not in an area of identified archaeological sensitivity and no known registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified or documented for the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
