Negative Declaration

Madison County - The Cazenovia Village Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local Law 2016-1: Zoning Code Text Amendments will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a local law amendment to the Village Zoning Code which amends the Code definition of a kennel and restrictions thereon, adds definitions of the terms, animal day care facility, pet store, and veterinary care facility, adds animal day care facilities as permitted home occupations in residential districts and as permitted uses subject to special permit in the B-1 and B-2 zoning districts; adds kennels, animal day care facilities, pet stores and veterinary care facilities as permitted uses subject to special permit in the VEN district; and adds animal day care facilities and pharmacies and banks and bank branch offices with drive in facilities as permitted uses subject to special permit in the VES-MU zoning district. The local law also amends sections 180-74 and 180-78 of the Code with respect to the issuance of certificates of compatibility for modifications to properties within the Historic District, and amends section 180-117 with respect to the administrative process for obtaining approval of certain business signs in the B-1 zoning district. The project is located throughout the Village of Cazenovia, New York.
