Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Town of Malta, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Comprehensive Plan Neighborhoods 2 and 3 Plan and Zoning Amendments will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves amendments to Neighborhoods 2 and 3 delineated within the 2006 Town Comprehensive Master Plan (TCMP) and subsequent zoning amendments to reflect changes and conditions that have occurred since adoption of the TCMP, including construction of the Round Lake Bypass, establishment of the Luther Forest Technology Campus, development of the GlobalFoundries manufacturing facility, establishment of the Halfmoon Intermodal Station, and frequent concerns cited by residents related to poor well water quality, economic distress resulting from unrealistic blanket single family residential zoning where two state truck routes and other developments cited herein, and resulting physical deterioration of property aesthetic character, maintenance and stability. Neighborhoods 2 and 3 are also generally referred to as Routes 9 and 67 or the southeast section of the Town of Malta, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Saratoga County - The Town of Ballston Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement Plant at Curtis Industrial Park LLC The Final EIS is available from the Ballston Town Hall, Ballston Community Library, and Ballston Spa Public Library and on line at: www.townofballstonny.org.

The action involves the construction and operation of a proposed hot mix asphalt pavement plant by Dolomite Products Company Inc. within a portion of the Curtis Industrial Park. Dolomite proposes to use a low capacity portable drum mix plant having a 200 ton per hour (TPH) capacity. The annual production of the plant is limited to 100,000 tons per year (TPY). The project is located on Curtis industrial Park Drive in the Town of Ballston, New York.
