Shandaken State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Semi-Annual Meeting

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) is pleased to announce that the next semi-annual public meeting, held per the Shandaken SPDES permit, will be on Thursday February 18th at 10:00 a.m. at the Shandaken Town Hall, 7209 Route 28, Shandaken, NY. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of activities conducted pursuant to the SPDES permit. In case of inclement weather, the snow date is February 29th at 10:00 a.m.

The meeting is open to the public and public input is welcome.

Negative Declaration

Orange County - The Town of Newburgh Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Matrix Business Park at Newburgh will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposed construction of a 565,320 square foot multi-tenant distribution building, parking and loading docks, associated site work including clearing, grading, paving, storm water management, utilities, signage, lighting, access drive and landscaping. The project will be served by municipal water and sewer which are available along the frontage and have sufficient capacity. Access will be from NYS Route 17K with a gated emergency access from Corporate Boulevard. The project is located on a 71.73 acre parcel on NYS Route 17K in the Town of Newburgh, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Extension of Public Hearing

Westchester County - The Mount Vernon City Council, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Mount Vernon West Rezoning. The public hearing on the Draft GEIS will be extended until February 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the City of Mount Vernon City Council Chambers. Written comments on the Draft GEIS will now be accepted until March 7, 2016. The action involves the rezoning of the Mount Vernon West into a form based transit oriented development zone. The project is located in the City of Mount Vernon, New York.
