Project Description:

The applicant proposes to remove the existing structures at the referenced site and to construct a 7,100 square foot commercial storage building, a new sanitary system, and gravel parking and drive aisles. A 15 foot wide landscape buffer is proposed to be planted with screening vegetation around the sides and back of the property. The proposed project is located in the recreational portion of the Peconic Wild, Scenic, and Recreational River Corridor at 1264 W Main Street in the Town of Riverhead in Suffolk County, SCTM# 600-120-02-002.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Evaluation using a Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form or other information has concluded that the proposed activity will not impact registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Feb 11, 2016.
