Project Description:

Applicant proposes to use approximately 83 cubic yards of rock rip rap for erosion protection along 150 feet of Lake Moraine shoreline. Approximately 50 cubic yards will be excavated from the shoreline to create a stable slope for the rock. The project will be done when the water has been lowered and a turbidity curtain will be used to isolate the work area. The project is located on Lake Moraine along East Lake Road, approximately a quarter of a mile north of the intersection with Hill Road, Madison County.

Onondaga County Water Authority proposes to replace 1200 feet of 12 inch water main along Verplank Road, approximately 200 feet of which is located within the regulated adjacent area to NYS Freshwater Wetland BRE-9. Erosion and sediment control will be used along the entire length of the impacted area to prevent any disturbance to the wetland. The project is located along Verplank Road, approximately 1000 feet west of the intersection with Van Hoesen Road, Town of Clay.

Project Description:

The applicant, Hudson Egg Farms LLC., proposes replacement of the existing treatment system for the existing discharge of 1,000 gallons per day of filtered sanitary effluent to groundwater at the applicant's facility located at 1812 State Route 5 in Elbridge, NY. The applicant plans to introduce a new Casner Environmental treatment process designed for the site. NYSDEC has made a tentative determination to issue a SPDES permit under Article 17 of the Environmental Conservation Law. This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated under this statue is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit issuance, based on information available to the Department at this time. As a tentative determination, the Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does not signify department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought or for the overall proposed project.
